Cleaning Fuel Injectors

Just wondering if I remove my injectors and swish them around in fuel injector cleaner, will that clean them better than putting the fi cleaner in the gas tank? obviously this isnt as good as getting a place to professionally clean them by doing whatever they do, dipping the injectors into some kind of sonic bath or some **** like that that will loosen the dirt?

Well, they actually take the injectors apart and clean any varnish deposits out. IMO, either buy chillinit's RC 310 injectors or have yours cleaned. But unless you store your car like some of us do, then varnish deposits in your injectors should not be a problem!

hehe..thanks bar..but the 310's were sold...repect though

gunmetal..I don't think its really worth it to take off ur injectors and swish them around in fi cleaner...I mean...u want to clean the inside of the injector right...therefore..u would have to force the cleaning solution inside the injector if u are not dissassembling the whole injector. I would suggest just running injector cleaner while u are driving...thats probablly ur best bet....good luck

The Canadian Tire one was on sale a few weeks ago for only $3.99 a bottle!! That's for 5-uses!!!! I ended up getting like 5 bottles and will put in a dose every other tank!

I use Slick 50... in the past it has increased my fuel consumption on average of over 100km per tank... 20$ a hit

I have No dyno results to show or prove it works, but the first time i used it was around 120,000km and it got rid of all the hesitation in my motor, and i gained over 150km to a tank of gas. That I can prove, since day one I have logged all my fuel milage, its one of my quirks to manageing and maintaining my engine (preventative maintenece) when i start loosing milage i know its time to pop the hood. I fill and drain EVERY tank of gas.

From then on ive used it 2wice a year. I just got through another tank of it and refilled so it should be all cleaned. Im headding to MTL today so ill post my results. Last tank of gas was 480km all in town.
