Civic VX gear ratio's?

Hi all, I just replaced my tranny on my 92 Civic and now it revs higher than it used to (specifically 5th gear). My car used to rev at 2000rpm at 100kph. Now it revs at about 2400rpm at 100kph.

I had bought what I was told was a VX tranny but now I don't think it is but from my research it appears that the gear ratios in the DX tranny is the same as the VX except 3rd and 4th gears. So if 5th gear is the same then why does my car now rev higher.

The VX's came with a shift light and it tells me to upshift when I'm in fifth.

Do you guys think I've been sold a different tranny?

i have never seen a stock civic tranny rev at 2000 at 100km. Mine which is the longest of civic gear ratios revs at 2400 at 100km

why not just check the stamp on the tranny to see what model tranny you have?
