Civic/Prelude springs interchangable???

Civic/Prelude springs interchangable???
To make a LONG story short:
I checked the Eibach spring # 4035.140 on the Eibach site.
That spring # is for a 97+ Lude
But those springs came out of my 96 Civic!
WTF?
I compared them to brother's Neuspeed sport springs for EK and they are identical in length, diameter, # of coils.
My question is:
Are Civic and Prelude springs interchangeable??
