Civic grues,need advice

Ok,I sold my 01 Prelude for this 98 CX hatch because I needed something more practical.I like the car and has decent power for me on the hwy but god is it ever slow to pick up off a light or when you want to pass a car on the hwy,im assuming it's cause of the gearing??
Without getting into motor swaps would a tranny off an Si help me a little(shorter gear ratios)?? Im due for a clutch replacement soon so I figured I might as well swap the tranny while im at it if it helps. So will this tranny bolt up and work with my engine(D16Y7)?If so what other parts do I need? How do you identify an Si tranny, any numbers or codes to look for on the cases??

Thanks in advance

why did you swtich from the lude to the hatch?

you mentioned practical but if you were switching from the lude to say a 4dr id realise... but you went to a hatch which is pretty much the same situation as the lude

kinda small

Cause I live in T.O and work close to Barrie(200kms of driving per day). The lude was killing me on gas, couldnt break more then 450kms per tank and it need's premium gas to run right.Insurance was another issue,4 tickets plus the lude equels high insurance, and buying a house was yet another issue.
I got good money for the lude and used it towards my DP on the house
