Civic 2000 Automatic to Manual Swap...How Much $$$
 

I have a Civic Si 2000, i am planning to do a Automatic to Manual Swap ... Does anyone now where i can get the parts and know a shop where i can get the job done?...a rough estimate... thanks

I would sell it and get a 5 Speed, it's just not worth it, it's going to cost you around 2-5G's and it's not going to be a perfect ride after that as well :thumbup:

its pretty simple to do and shouldnt cost that much. My advice is to do a full swap (B series) instead of just swapping to a D series tranny.

most of the labour is cutting the floor for the shifter

i thought that labour is only like 500 bux for a job like this....then just add on the parts and thats not too much more...:shrugs:

$1000-1500 is what it should cost depending on tranny choice and who does it.

why are you swapping to manual anyways?? what's your reasoning behind it?

bored... need change from auto... i would trade in my car but it is at almost 200 000k..no value soon.... and i don't have the funds to buy a 5spd

save up and do a B series swap along with the auto to manual conversion, it will be worth it in the end to do it all at once.

agreed, if your gonna replace all that, might as well save some more and buy a nice B series...

I charge around 1200 with all the parts and labour included.
