I don't know what section to put this in really, so I'll drop it in here..

I saw this episode of my classic car a reaaaal long time ago and they had this contraption that you hook two electrodes onto a piece of metal and either spray or brush something onto the piece to gold chrome it.. I'm just wondering if anyone knows about this, what its called or anything of similiar nature...

yah its called gold plating, you could get it in chrome, nickel, silver, or gold. there's a machine invovle with the electrodes.
