choosing ECU's?

So i got the ls/vtec motor with GSR pistons

Im wondering which ecu to go for and if I should get it chipped

Right now i got a stock SIR ecu and it doesnt give enough fuel/air mixture

My car is cnoverted to obd1 right now so keep in mind the knock sensor engine code that comes on when my car warms up....also some vibration seems to be coming from the motor as soon as the engine light comes on

I need some help choosing the ecu and where i should get it chipped...thanks

p72 or p73, both have more aggressive fuel mapping... then there's always a chipped p28, very versatile ecu

your best bet is a custom chipped p28. Finding an obd1 p72 might be difficult and probably quite expensive.
Also, with a chipped p28 you can eliminate the knock sensor all together.

Like what zeeman said....get a P28 and custom chip it to your engine specs....DO NOT buy one of those generic (Mugen, Spoon, etc.) chips that solder onto the board. You won't get the potential of your setup. Call around to see who can custom program your ECU to your specs.
