Checking a heater core

My heater core is leaking coolant in the passenger side foot well so I'm going to replace it. I went to the wreckers and pulled one out of a civic. It comes with a warrantee, but I want to make sure it doesn't leak before I install it. Visually it looks fine, no rust or corrosion and the inlet and outlet are in perfect condition. I was thinking maybe connect it up to a garden hose, and plug the other end but I imagine that would be too much pressure and would blow a hole in it, anyone have any ideas how to test it??

Thanks!

take it to a rad shop. They can pressure test it for you. This is what i did.

Thanks for the suggestion, I took it to a rad shop after work and they tested it for $5. They applied 15 PSI and no leaks whatsoever.
Now the fun part, getting it in there.
