Check Engine Light on, Idles- way high and jumping!
HELP!
the civic's an eg hatch, manual tranny. no problems thru this winter. till today. garaged too!
CEL came on this morning, and it's idling at 2.5-2k
usually idles at 1.7k when cold started.
plus it's jumping and wheezing from 1.5k-2k when idled for about 5mins already!

don't drive it!
my friend drove his car like that, and when he parked it at walmart, it blew up, both bags. don't know how, but a shopping cart musta hit it because there was a blue shopping cart ding on the front fender. good thing it didn't blow up while he was in it, or else he woulda got owned.
true story.

on the passenger side of the front seat near where the door mounts to the car in the very corner there will be a small wire hanging down between under the glove box console and the carpet, it will have a blue connector on it going no where, use a paperclip or somthing to jump the two wires together and the engine light will come on your dash and flash, count the number of flashes a long flash is ten and a short flash is one, then you can cross reference it with the service man and find out whats goin on
