check engine light...
when my engine is warmed up fully to what it should be at ..
the check engine light comes on at that timewhen it is warmed up
im pretty sure its an o2 censor for the cat.
but just to be sure is it safe to do the paperclip check while the car is running?
(cause once the car is turned off and on the light is off till you drive a bit more)

you short out a plug from your ecu with the paperclip and then it spits out the code for whatever the error is, by a flashing light on your cluster. and then with the series of flashes sorta like morse code you can figure out from that what the problem is.... someone had pics on how to do it and the interpretation of all the signals it gives you, but i donno who it was...

well not a good Idea to do with the car running then = 1 fryed ecu
so it turns on check engine light only when warm ... ohh well the code will remain in there even with the engine light not coming on the code stays permenantly on till it's cleared... have fun

thought so so i was asking to make sure..
anyway here are my errors
EGR Lift Sensor (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
Electrical Load Detector defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor
KS (Knock Sensor) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor

well the knock sensor should be an easy take out and replace
same with the other ones although I don't have a clue where or what they are ... if I were you though I'd check the connection (wiring) between the sensors and the ECU to make sure everything is up to shape there before you spend money on new sensors
