Cheap Man's Intake

Ok, I was given a cold air filter by my friend and what I want to try and do is to rig it up in my 92 DX Hatch.
I was thinking about going into Home Depot or Crappy Tire and getting some of that Flexable Dryer Hose (The Metal one not the plastic) and cutting and bending it to be a cold air filter on my car.

My only question is, is this at all possible (I've seen it done before so I'm guessing it can) and can anyone tell me exactly what to do?

Thanks!

P.S. Yes I know it's ghetto but I don't want to spend very much money on this engine, in fact this is the only mod I want to do to it. I'm planning to drop a B18B into her in the summer.

That link looks like way too much work. I think I'll just buy a CAI instead.

It's actually pretty easy to do the whole project. I guess the guy writing the article wanted to make a book or something. I had a customer who skipped some of the steps and it took him 2 days.

How much does a regular one cost? I know the AEM ones are crazy expensive.. like $300 or so.. Heck... I'll build them and sell them if you guys are interested.

I have done this on my Accord and it took about 2 hours tops

the longest part is waiting for the paint to dry. I used some engine enemal but it's now rubbing off, so I have to redo it this summer

for less than $100 I got over 6hp/6lbft, try to get that with your $300 AEM cold air (that would be 18hp/18lbft)
