The words "Cheap" and "creating HP" shouldn't be in the same sentence.

Define "Cheap"

Seriously though. Intake, Header, exhaust will break your budget but will yield the most gains.

There is barely any standalone mod you can do for $200-400 that will make a difference.

Either A) Plan to commit more in the future, and spend the money on one item or two that will be part of a larger picture. These items will support and/or be supported by other mods down the road to make a real difference. This will require an investment.

Or B) Don't waste your money. Because if you are going to put $200-$400 into performance then its better you dont. You might get hurt because you decided to skimp on quality. Put that money into cosmetics, or booze.

I/H/E are a great start, as was mentioned. Plan to spend $1000-$1500 on that.

A tune up. New plugs, wires, cap rotor, change ALL the fluids, maybe a bottle of Seafoam, new filters, etc. That 16 year old motor must be getting tired.

Little hp means no hp, and it is your butt dyno telling you that your car is faster which in fact, it is not at all.

Browse around this forum, there are quite a amount of build threads and the parts people are using to gain hp.
