Changing shock & coil spring

How much should it cost to change the shock/coil spring on the rear side of a 1990 EF hatchback at a garage? My friend gave me his spare shock/coil all ready to be bolted on. Is $40 decent?
I would do it myself but i don't have a garage plus i just had surgery 2 days ago so i'm full of stitches! Thanks:thumbup:

40 is not bad in terms of shop prices.

it really only takes 20 mins if your doing it yourself unless the bolt is seized.

Exactly but if your paying a shop and everythings seized bend over and grab your ankles because your gonna get raped.

take 5 mins and call a few shops and get price quotes

Well, i changed my shock and spring and i still have that annoying "toc toc" noise when driving over small bumps:banghead:

I guess there must be some worn out bushings somewhere. Any ideas on what to do next?
