changing oil
I'm due for an oil change and I'm thinking about changing from regular oil to synthetic.. does anyone have any recommendations for doing this? what brand to use? what could happen when changing over? burn/leak oil?

IMO the only advantage of synthetic is that you can go longer between oil changes.
Dinosaur oil has been around forever, and so have engines, especially high performance engines, and they have done just fine before synthetic came along.

Synthetic is more of a benifet in the winter. The oil is more viscous regardless of temperature. On a cold start it take's less time for the oil to start pumping through your engine. Less friction on start up mean's less wear.
