Changing Head Gasket...

i have a 1992 pontiac grand am....im pretty sure it needs a new head gasket....me and my dad were thinking of changing it how hard is it i have never did a head gasket before and does anyone have and helpful links to pics and details on how to do this.....any help would be great Thanks

it all depends on your skill level. it could be the easiest thing you do, or it could be the hardest. all depends on how you make it. just remember, it's just nuts and bolts, don't let it own you.

finally.... it's only a grand am, if you screw up you can just send it to the junk yard or give it to someone. it's got no resale anyways, you can't screw it up any more than it already is.

you need a torque wrench, a new headgasket, new headbolts, new coolant, and some information about torquing sequence.

and time, lots of time if its your first head gasket
