changing coolant

I have an 89 dx hatch and i wanna do my coolant today but i cant find the drain plug for the block. Where the **** is the thing. You don't understand how mental its making me. anyways...someone told me that they always do theres without draining the engine block...is that not a good thing or can i actually do that?

well you can do a back flush...its the most effective way to get all the crap out of the system...go to Canadian Tire and buy a Prestone back flush kit, it comes with all the parts and a cleaning solution...it basically allows you to hook a garden hose into your cooling system, and run the engine to circulate through the block and heater core, it flushes out the whole system....less than 20 bucks i believe...and every year after you just have to buy the cleaning solution...5ish dollers
