changing clutch

hey guys i have 3 days off work and school starting tommorow i was wondering since i have time to put in a new clutch if it would be a problem seperating the tranny from the motor if i dont have a engine stand its standing upright on the floor now,thanks

thats all you need

or a jack with a block of wood under the oil pan to keep the stress off the motor whe you take the tranny off

you wouldn't be able to put the engine on the stand anyways if the tranny was attached because where the engine bolts to the stand is where the tranny bolts to the engine.
Make sure to remove all of the bolts, especially the ones on the flywheel cover.

If possible get a buddy to help you out to support the tranny, the third hand will make it easier.

should i lie the motor on its side to take the tranny off it or just do it upright???? this is going to be my first time doing a clutch im just happy the motor isnt in the car yet

do it upright

Ive taken my tranny off the motor sitting on a sheet of plywood, not 1 issue at all it just sat there fine

ok its not sitting on anything so im just going to unbolt the tranny from the motor upright thanks!
