changing burnt out light in tach
hey guys, my buddy has a autometre tach and the bulb burnt out on it, how can he changfe the bulb inside of it?....also the moron pulled the tach off the car without looking at the wires on the back,so know he cant figure out what each wire is, theres 4 wires, 2 white, a black and a grey and black i think he said...

Most every autometer product I've seen actually has a twist out part that holds the bulb. As for the wires, there is a wiring diagram on autometer's website along with the instructions.
Now, just don't ask for the link to autometer's site

actually the older tach's didnt have the replacement bulb feature as they were guaranteed for like 10yrs or somethin...they dont have a access panel on the back and I believe you had to take it to an Autometer dealer or something for it to get replaced...my autometer 3900 was like that

typically it's the **** that appears on the front of the tach, should look like a small rectanglular button, possibly with a rubber bushing, twist and pull it out, buld should fit right into the back of it!!!
Had the same problem myself!!!
