cel light came on today...

think i found the diag port...just want to be sure its the right one. what colour should the wires going into it be?

nevermind the color, it's the 2 prong'ed connector, not the bigger one.

yeah i found 2 though...in the passenger side foot well next to the glove box

You found 2 harnesses, one smaller than the other. It's the smaller one of the two that has two wires sticking out.


it's hidden in a little rubber harness. it's literally at the far extreme right of the passenger just under the glove box.
Most instructions I read said to remove the carpet but that wasn't true on my car.
Anyway, i'm sure you got it.

got it...code #9 CYP (cylinder position sensor), checked the resistance and it was 383 ohms, within the 350-700 ohms in the specs, cleaned up the dizzy and all contacts, gonna reset the cel tomorow and see how she idles

thanks to The Prophet for driving a multimeter up to me so i could check out the sensor

oh..and remember to check the dizzy side of the connector not the car side...d'oh
