CEL after CAI install?

Hey guys I just poped on my CAI..not full CAI...I geuss its just intake, it goes behind pass side headlight.

anywho....my CEL light is on. I noticed I disconnected one sensor from the OEM airbox near the intake inlet.....this is the cause of it for sure...is there any way to fix this? ive had other cars with intakes already on and no CEL.

thanks guys,.

Disconect the battery for a few minutes or pull the ECU fuse to reset the car's CPU.

did you reconnect the O2 sensor to the intake tube? you can't totally remove it otherwise you'll be throwing the code forever... you have to take it out of the OEM intake and put it in the SRI

There should be 2 holes in the intake tube. One for the sensor and one for the tube that goes to the valve cover.

Here is a link to help you. It's for a cold air intake, but you can still use it.

there should be a rubber gromet on the intake tube which u push that black sensor into. Its not the 02 sensor its the IAT sensor.

my intake didnt have a gromet, so I tapped my own...but now I dont know which plug is which any ideas? and when I unplug the ECU to reset it how long do I leave unpluged?

u remove the battery terminal not the plugs to the ECU. On your civic the wire colors for the IAT should be red with yellow stripe and green with black stripe.
