yeah, so many people buy sir exhausts and just cut them to fit. i don't think you even cut the mid-piping because the distance from the cat to say the rear axle area is the same on the coupe or hatchback, but the coupe is a little longer in the back i believe so you just have to trim the axle back i think... depends on where it connects.

Ok.
Not sure what header/EM you are using, but here is the run down:
B series with stock exhaust manifold will bolt right up to stock DX b-pipe with no cat, so with cat, you chop off 17" (USDM SiR/GSR/ITR) because DX coupe (Y7) has its cat as part of the Y7 EM, no body uses that pos for cat retrofit.
With 2.5" collector aftermarket header, same deal, you might need to chop off more of the B-pipe.
Either way, you will need a new flange welded onto the DX B-pipe.
