hey guys today i was cruising home from work and was stopped at a light, as i tried to accelerate my car bogged out like crazxy and the check engine light cma eon for a sec then disapeared, onces its rolling sya im in 3rd and barely giving it throttle it sok, but as i accelerate from a stop or whatever where u gotta give it mroe gas it bogs and the check engien light flash's, i checked the codes and it was throwing a code 14. iac control (idle air control)....how do i check this and where is it located?....the cars a 89 si with a sohc zc swap, im thinking my fuel pumps going, cuzz sometimes the car wont start at all....itll try and try and try and if i like let it sit for like 2 mins she will fire up.....

k guys this is what iv found, the car runs fine once its cruisin as long a sur not flooring it, but getting out of first and 2nd i gotta ride the clutch or itll og out and stall......it stalled on me right on hwy 27 it was so embarrasing, i was gonna burn the damn thing...nebody else got any ideas?......tommorow im gonan check everything and pull everything apart,.it just like bogs right out and ocne i take my foot off the gas its fine, last night i drove home int he rain and i got a c.ai.....do u think maybe some moisture got in my motor or in my plugs area?.....

go to canadian tire and buy a can of throttle body cleaner (NOT CARB CLEANER ITS DIFFERENT) open up your airbox or if you have cold air take off the pipe and with the car on spray into the throttle body but keep giving her gas cus she'll stall. spray it in a few times while reving her high to get all the crap outta there. there will be a small hole inside the throttle body, thats the hole for iac, make sure you spray that too

why not just check the IAC sensor since the ECU is throwing a code saying something is wrong there.... ??? that in my opinion is the logical place to start ...
and if you don't know where it is get out the shop manual and look it up.... it's easier then me trying to discribe it
