Cars idling weird after car is warmed up.
Hey guys, i notice when the cars warmed up and has been on the road the idle goes up and down between 700-1200 rpm. IF i let it sit long enough it will idle normal, any ideas?? Thanks

Possible vacume leak, possible dirty EACV/FITV.

mine was like that too
it was due to a vacume leak for mine |
Thanks, i'll have to take a look.

thats a pretty good indication of the iacv needs cleaning or replacing assuming there are no vacuum leaks, aswell check the Throttle position sensor , in my case replacing the iacv did nothing it was the tps

if you have a vac/boost gauge, it should be easy to tell if you got a vacuum leak.

i have a boost gauge, how do i tell, looks like im reading ok. When we were tuning we were getting a TPS code, but we found that there was something wrong with the harness so we replaced it and all the codes are gone. I'll have to check for vacuum leaks, we also turned up the idle a little, not sure if that affects anything, but can't imagine it would.

if the gauge 'hunts' around rather than being steady, you likely have a leak.

Well i finally figured it out. i ended up turning the idle down and presto, she's back to normal.

thats why I tell people NOT to mess around with the idle screw..
