Real J's Racing or replica?

Ya password has the replica version but I doubt there will be any difference.

BTW, you are kidding about the sound, right?

Rob, do you also realize they run ITB with a built engine and possibly a straight pipe?

Just that intake alone won't give you any sound remotely close to what you hear in that video.

Even then, the J's racing is an intake pipe. Those M3s run CF intake plenum.

But if you want that CF intake, go for it.

RDub99 05-Oct-2005 12:40 AM

are you actually going to buy it?

SteveZ 05-Oct-2005 01:45 AM

itll sound the same as any other intake. intakes r intakes. go with what u like the look of better.

Younes Si 05-Oct-2005 10:34 AM

That would be crazy if it did that, but it wont :notfair:

imported_GoldBadge 05-Oct-2005 10:37 AM

Doesn't spracingsports have one of these?

Even with a CF intake, I don't think your stock CRX motor is going to Roar like a race car...lol.:checkered

Nova_Dust 05-Oct-2005 12:31 PM

I think in general, a SRI with nothing else will give off that high pitch sound as you rev higher. That's about it.

I agree with steveZ and charles. The c/f intake won't create a noise anywhere near that. It'll most likely sound like any other cai or sri.

those things are expensive (cf manifold) endyn has one and its like $1800 usd. those also need very high compression to work and they dont sound like that video either. those cars had a whine to them that reminded me of a sequential transmission.

Nova_Dust 07-Oct-2005 12:02 PM

Perhaps straight cut gears? That sounds insanely loud.

Next time a Star Mazda race is on TV or if you get to see them live @Mosport you hear it. They ALMOST drown out the sound of the engine.

Same with the Hewland 5spds that they use in the SCCA Trans-Am cars.
