car will not start
 

Started yesterday. Lately the car (89 dx hatch) has been having a hard time starting when it's hot outside. I know what your thinking....main relay, anyhow it was cool out last night and the car started up fine but I had a cel and the car would not rev over 4000......limp mode right??? Anyhow this morning I tried starting the car and it turns over fine but would not start. The main relay is clicking so I'm assuming all is well there or am I mistaken????? I tried a pm6 ecu I had lying around and it also did not work. Any ideas?? If the main relay "clicks" does that mean it's working with out a doubt or can it click and be in effective? Also I checked for codes but the ecu's led is not lit which is kinda wierd when you have a cel. I don't hear the fuel pump prime which leads me to believe the main relay has gone south but like I mentioned above it clicks when the ignition is turned. Any ideas , input???

sounds like the main relay to me. Just 'cause it clicks does not mean it is necessarily working. I'd check for power to the pump to make sure, but if you have a spare relay kicking around, try that first
