mine does that only cuz the rad fan is on all the damn time...other than that check all the usual suspects

low coolant level
thermostat
coolant in general (colour, smell etc.)
water pump
rad cap

etc etc

Even on a summer day it takes time to warm up "not as much as winter time"

its a Honda thing

as long as you've checked the above list then your okay.

sounds like the thermostat is the culprit here... for 10 bucks or whatever it cost for a new one, its worth just changeing it out...

I find Hondas warm up really quick cuz of the aluminium block esp in the summertime. I start it, put my seatbelt on, check mirrors, find something on the radio, and I start driving, by the 1st light my temp is already above the C/

My dad's car, I can drive for 20 minutes and NOTHING... it's a diesel though

my car takes about 10 minutes to warm up (in Parking gear). when i start driving it warms up quicker. A few days ago when it was snowy, i started my car and had the engine running for 5 minutes and the decided to leave, but when i started reversing, the engine just shut off. That has never happened before, does any one know why?

The past week almost every car has been like this, the temp gauge stays down at C for quite sometime

i showed my g/f my car and she was like ohhh damn ....lol
and then she started up her Durango and it took soo long for it to warm up....it'z only been happening this past week to a lot of cars....

it'z mainly the weather i'd say if u've never experinced this problem before.. .

lol

You had it in gear, released the clutch too fast and/or didn't gas enough.

But you're saying it was in "Park gear", is it an auto?

Regarding draining the radiator sweet kool-aid, how many people actually drain the plug underneat the block as well? My manual says to drain both.

I have the same problem with my motor...I don't think that you need to worry about that too much though, it's not like its over heating. I personaly think that it has something to do with the oil you are using for ex I'm using 10W40 now and it takes forever to heat up but as soon as I go back to 5W30 I never have that problem...Try that and if it doesn't work for you then there is a little more to it than that. What motor are you running anyway and if ported what's the compression on it...Ususally when the compression is Hi it takes a while for a motor to heat up.
