Car start problem
Hey guys hoping for some help
My civic is giving trouble starting - almost every morning for the past month (battery is good, alternator replaced last year) what happens is I hear a click noise when i start the car... if I pop the clutch while I try to start, it turns fine and I'm off - it just seems its taking more effort as it gets colder.. also the car starts fine later in the day when I got to lunch from work... any suggestions before I go to a mechanic (I would rather not get scammed into replacing a starter motor, if it could be something less expensive) thanks |
take your car to part source and get them to do a charging system test. It will tell you if its the battery, alternator or starter. And its FREE.

thanks for the info.. will do (and you said my favorite word - FREE!)

you may also go to Canadian Tire and they also test for free.
Part Source is owned by CT |
i refuse to tell anyone to go to CT for service, even if its free.
