Talking Car running again !

YAY !

I went out and bought a bolt extractor and everything to try to take out the bolt I broke in my fuel rail, and as I was drilling, I noticed the bolt was moving as well, so I stopped drilling and then got a hammer and a screw driver, and 2 little taps i unscrewed it ! WOOHOOO Then I installed my FPR, it leaked, then I noticed I forgot to put the rubber piece in, and now it runs like a charm.

Next step: Header bolt, injectors, spark plugs, fuel pump....

Just out of curiosity, why would you need to change gaskets? Are you doing a tune-up or having some upgrades?

A tune up. The cam seal has started leaking and I need to replace it because of the oil that is coming out. I'm hoping it will possible fix my idle as well. Never know. Also, I'm putting new spark plugs in, new injectors, so the seals would have to be changed anyways....

When your doing the valve cover/cam seal gasket, remember to buy gasket sealer, put a dab on your finger and run it accross your head,,, then put the gasket on, then run some on your valve cover.

It'll expand a bit and seal any gaps that might form.

But for that header bolt, bring it to a shop they can drill it out in 10min.

When you remove the valve cover to get at the gaskets, the valve cover gasket is sitting between the head and your valve cover.

Remove the old gaskets and put gasket sealer on both sides on the valve cover gasket (head is bottom side, valve cover is top side).

When doing the header bolt, make sure to put some anti-seize on the thread of the NEW BOLTS before putting the header back on.

(Don't reuse your old bolts.)

I don't know what else your doing, so I don't know what more to say.

Why would you?

I'm surprised they'd come off without breaking due to the high heat that they're exposed to. How often are they even taken off the car? once in its lifetime maybe?

Why not have the peace of mind by putting brand new bolts on and instead of reusing old and probably warped bolts.

To each their own, but if it was my car I'd put new hardware on.
