Question car nudges when switch to drive..

Hi..I was wondering if anyone can give me some helpful info. My mom drives an automatic lexus es and everytime she presses on the brake and changes to drive, the car nudges hard a single time and then it is fine. This has been happening for awhile..any hints on what can be wrong?

thanks

Also I was thinking more about the problem It could be a transmission mount also.

LOL......anyways I don't think its normal because it didnt nudge as hard before, it just started about 6 months ago..transmission fluid was just changed so I guess Ill take a look at transmission mount..thanks for your input

i'd say it could just be the car.....mine does it all the time, and a few others with the same tranny......but if it just started 6 months ago....start with the mount and go from there....

Tranny filter is also worth checking. Yeah it's not normal, but it's likely to be a pricey repair.

its somewhat normal to have a slight nudge. But like everybody said it is a possible mount. and if it actually is .. Replace ALL mounts only because if 1 is worn out it is putting alot of stress to the other ones. trust me i learned the hard way.
