car is idolling low.. need some techy help

Car: 92 acura integra RS 1.8L

problem: Car idols low around 400-600 RPM's

Attempted fix: changing spark plugs and tighting the screw on the throttle cable.. brought it up to 900-1000RPM's

Current situation: its back down to 400-600RPM's and i dont want to tighten the nut on the cable again because it hasnt really moved. Aside from maybe a leaking head gasket and/or replacing air filter (tho this shouldnt have that big of an effect on idol state) I'm stuck for possible fixes.

Thanks in advance!

check ur eacv or reacv. is this happened when the engine is hot , normal temp, is it at 1500 rpm when cold. if it is possible u need a new eacv or reacv.

good luck
