Car having lots of trouble starting
Hi,
Just recently my car has been having a lot of trouble starting up.
It would seem like its started and revs up, but then immediately drops down to 0 and stalls.
Sometimes the only way for me to get it started is to floor the gas pedal so that it revs up to like 5000 first so it doesn't stall immediately.
Usually this is only when i start up the car, but then today it actually died like that when i pulled up to a light.
Does anybody know whats causing this? or how I can get it fixed?
Thanks!

Had this problem ... my had to do with the ignitor inside the distributor... If you need one I have a brand new one for sale. If your car is stalling at stops or if your Idle fluctuates while driving up and down then its probably the ignitor.

^^ ignitor and coil are located inside the distributor, which makes me wonder if you are using the correct terminology. you might be thinking cap and rotor?
but to answer the general question, yes the problem will 95% of the time be ignition related.
