car cutting out.

hey guys lately my car has been cutting out on me )like that feeling when your running out of gas) and my car has 450cc injectors with the stock fuel pump,so i was pretty sure thats why it was doing what it was doing so i put in a walbro 255lph pump and still the same thing.the car has brand new cap, wires, rotor, fuel filter, fuel pump, spark plugs so im not really sure what it could be.sometimes ill drive and it will run great but then sometimes it will be so bad it will keep on shutting off on me...anybody have a shot in the dark as to what the **** is going on with my car lol.

Did you install 450cc injectors on your stock engine with your stock ecu?

no his boosted d16z6 has a custom tuned ecu and DSM 450s.

I've seen DSM 450s act all ghey a few times on a few different cars (thats why they aren't my first choice of injectors and why i don't recommend people to use them), and its possible that could be you're problem. But instead of just replacing parts (a fuel pump was a MUST on a boosted setup, so that wasn't a waste), i would suggest just taking it to a shop and having someone look at it.

Did you install you're catch can yet?

just make sure to get low impedance (peak and hold) b/c if you get high impedance (saturated) you will have to remove the resistor box.

I would say that you could prolly get away without a retune (although its a good idea to retune really if you change anything about the setup), since you were using 450s and would then be using 440s....not too much of a difference IMO.
