Car bogs out....help me please...

Well, it only happens randomly on the highway, and possibly when i am in the higher rpms but the car seems to bog out even though i drop a gear or whatever.....it almost sounds like there is no gas getting to it, very little, or too much....i dunno what it could be...it still idles nice though.....but it has no power when it does bog out and it really only lasts for a few minutes max.....if it makes a dif the engine is a B18b

sounds like an ignition problem to me. How do the spark plug wires look? Old and dirty and worn out? And cracks in the rubber? How are the spark plugs? Or the distributor cap and rotor? Are the contacts in the distributor cap worn out really bad? Is the rotor tip burned at all or worn down really bad?

Fug,

sounds like ignition, just replace the spark plugs. random bogging doesn't mean blown engine.

extreme loss of power all the time or very loud banging = motor soon to blow.

john.. looks like you need a tune-up. If you want I can do it for ya man if you want it done in a nice warm shop instead of the cold of your driveway.

Check what zeeman said.
