Can't get drivers side axle out of intermidiate shaft

Im trying to remove these hybrid axles from the intermediate shaft on my b16eg and no matter what I do they will not budge out of the I shaft.

The spline is compleatle free of the hub and the hub is out of the way, however i cannot get the axle out for the life of me.

i have pryed, pulled, wiggled etc and it has not moved a mm.

any tips or am i doing somthing wrong?

I was just reading up on axle removal in an Acura service manual for an Integra. There's a little ridge that the axles has to go over to pop it out. Get your hands on the manual and look at the diagram and read the instructions. Sorry I can't actually show you the picture and the instructions. But get your hands on the Honda manual and I think that might be the trick you need to get the axle out.

Here's a link from the Tech Area on these forums for service manuals:

I know you have tried but you really have to hit it.

Put them on the grond and hit the driveshaft hub with a large hammer. None of these limp wristed jobmate hammers, I'm talking about a nice weighted hammer. Once you hit it three or four times it WILL come loose. Just hike up you skirt and hit it.

^^^^^hahaha

Take the whole axle/halfshaft out of the tranny (remove the 3 bolts holding the halfshaft to the back of the block). This will make things easier. Then go to town.
