what are you using for tuning management? could it be a problem with your iacv?

chris_si98 27-Jul-2006 11:09 AM

i doubt you changed all the sensors on your IM lol.

like aaron said.. whats your fuel management?

zeeman 27-Jul-2006 01:04 PM

if you are using big injectors with a stock (or even chipped ecu) you might be running pig rich at idle. Thats usually what happens when you dump too much fuel at idle.

Turbot 27-Jul-2006 06:20 PM

well according to the old owner of the car i have 36pound 5.0mustang injectors it did have a stock 1.6lL fuel pump

and it dies out while im driving i dont thing that it would be dieing out while the car is driving if it was getting that much fuel when im driving thouh it just dies wont even bogg out

no offence, but if you had to consult with the previous owner of the car about what is under the hood, chances are you shouldn't have bought the car in the first place. these are all questions you should have found answers to before you took it into your possession.

Turbot 27-Jul-2006 07:33 PM

no offense taken i do know wats under the hood i know a bit about cars but i just got into the honda scene last year so there are a lot of things that i dont know. Now i live in Hamilton and out here not many people have things like this done to their cars right so there really isnt much help out here. Wen my last car got stolen my buddy gave me this one for free so i really cant complain much you know

Turbot 27-Jul-2006 07:35 PM

I guess i was more or less hoping that maybe i could find someone near by that would maybe look at it i will pay you know i just need someone who knows their stuff to maybe look at it and see if they know wat it is

zeeman 27-Jul-2006 08:49 PM

i'm in hamilton, there are tonnes of people out here with highly modded cars, i've tuned lots of them. PM me if you want me to look at your car.

imported_weiRtech 27-Jul-2006 10:10 PM

i'm in waterdown, which is basically hamilton as well. drop by i'll take a look at it. hit me with a pm.

now if you could get me and zeeman to look at it together, well, then you'd be in good hands.

what'd you do?

I'd still let somebody look at your management system..

Turbot 27-Jul-2006 11:30 PM

I pulled the injectors out and i realized that near the sprayer end of the injectors there is a rubber ring that was all chewed up i replaced the rind as ell as the plastic cap on the sprayer itself put the injectors back in and the car has been running great scince

Turbot 27-Jul-2006 11:31 PM
