Can someone help me out with my suspension problem
Hello all, it just seems I keep having problems after problems with my suspension. I just installed Tein S-Tech on Tokico Blues on my 2002 Civic Si-G and the install seems fine. I lined up the arrows and the springs are put on the struts snuggly. I feel my combo to be VERY stiff, I can feel every bump on the road. Especially on the 401 between McCowan and Warden westbound, there are a few "speed bumps" that when I go over at 120km makes the car feel like it has nothing absorbing it.
First quesion is to those who have installed S-Tech before. On the springs themself, there is a brown rubber cover or wrap on the end of the springs, I'm not sure what that is for and I wasn't sure if it went on the top of the strut or bottom but looking on the springs, I put them on the bottom because the words written on the spring can be read normally and if i did it vice versa then the words would be upside down. Did I do that correctly or do I need to move the covers if possible to the middle of the spring?
Next quesion is about the squeaking noise I get if I go off a curb. I can duplicate the sound easily if I go up a curb with one wheel and then drive down it as it puts the cars weight on that wheel. This only happens to the passenger front wheel and nothing on the drivers. The 2 rears I can hear a little bit if I jump up and down in the trunk but nothing alarming. What can it be?
Last question, I read through some threads and people have lubed the hell out of their suspension somewhere while installing their struts/spring. Maybe this will fix question 2 so where do I lube the suspension actually? What kind (brand, lube type...) and where should I buy this at? I also have some suspension joints I want to oil up like the tie rod end, control arms and such, what kind and where can I get this at too?
PS. I searched.
