camshaft position sensor

i have a 2004 honda civic ex 1.7 liter, i have a camshaft position sensor that i am trying to replace myself but cant seem to locate it on my engine, i have google it several times but it gives me demos for 2001 and 2003 only and then the diagram that i found shows that its located behind the timing chain which then on another diagram it shows the same thing but calls it the crankshaft position sensor. I have had the codes read on my car multiple times and the camshaft position sensor is the one thats popping up, my car keeps dying, i have already replaced the torque converter on it but another code says catalytic converter, any suggestions to anyone as to why it keeps dying would be great, i am a female doing this work on my car so any advice would be great

cam sensor is under the cam sprocket. right of the motor mount, wire with a rubber plug into the timing belt cover.
