cams or intake manifold ?

cams or intake manifold ?

hi again i do not know what to do again....is it beter put regrided cams or manifold intake (skunk2 or z speed ) an if cams with or with out cam gears ? i also have 54cc exaust filter and powerchip......and i go for type r pistons ...so next step ? ohhh engine is vtec 1600 150 hp

cams w/ cam gears are better than intake. Intake determines the location of the power band (high or low rpm), whereas the cam determines how much power we're talking about. Well, if you need to know more about intake geometry there are some very good technical papers about the Ford Taurus SHO V6 engine built by YAMAHA, it had variable intake runner geometry. Great info in these papers.
