cams/cam gears/valvetrain

I'm just checking out how much it would take to upgrade the cams, cam gears, and valve train.. does anyone know what it would take to tune this? could someone burn a chip for my ecu or would I have to go to a standalone unit like the AEM EMS? also do the stand alone units just bypass the ecu or replace it all together?

i spent about $2000 in parts building my head (cams, valve springs, titanium retainers, cam gears, stupid little 7 degree valve locks to fit into the retainers). But i only paid $950 for my cams, valve springs and retainers brand new. I would also recommend getting some headwork done while the engine's apart, port and polish, valve job, maybe mill it a bit to get the CR up if your running more aggressive cams.
Any competent speed shop with a dyno/wideband o2 and uberdata/crome/hondata could burn a custom chip for your application. This is a great method of engine management and a lot more cost efficient.
