i dont think you can buy just the cam cap, its made for each specific head as they wear differently in each engine.

i wish you luck....

i wonder how long I can drive the car like this???
Just as important as torque spec is the correct torque sequence as well. Helps to prevent things like that from happening.

Download the 98 Acura Integra service manual here if don't already have it.

Good luck.

You cracked the #4 - there's no problem driving it the way it is, since you can't buy just the cam caps, you'll be fine driving it as is.

How did you manage to crack the cap?

All that money and effort, and your not going to take it down the track? Are you not interested to see what it can do. Seems like alot of money to spend for a short term project.

In regards to the cam cap. You will be completely fine. If it was cracked on the lobe. then its a boat ankor. Get it welded up while its still on the car. You only cracked the girdle portion of it where there is no pressure on. So you should be more then fine with just brazing it.

Sorry to hear about your physical condition, hope you get well. I couldn't imagine what illness could affect such a young guy like yourself. But hopefully you over come it and get back in the drivers seat.

well im teaming up with someone to start a business. it will be cylinder head work only and for considerably cheaper than other shops. i have B heads already ported in stock and turn around time will be 2-3 days. my hands may not work but my knowledge is still here and the guy i am teaming with is REAL good. watch for ads on the board.

you need to go worldwide with this, don't just stay in canada, ship parts everywhere, incl US and Europe. ... like Jesse James parts for choppers fetch some serious coin in Asia and Europe.
