Cam Gear

Okay Im going to ask this question and expect some flames for this. Please just try avoid flaming and answer if it can be done and can get some gains.

I am a JDM D15B VTEC and my transmission is automatic. I want to get aftermarket CAM GEAR from AEM. Would this benefit the engine and gain more HP with the automatic? I know I would have to go through tuning but ya..

THANKS.

What about I had the money and wanted to waste it on? This is looking into the future since I have no money. Probably a couple of years thing.

there is no point of adjusting the stock cam on a SOHC anyways, usually your adjusting to get the most of other mods...unless your got I/E/H and your thinking of cams it dosen't seem like you'd get a benefit. Go the I/E/H route first to get some gains that are worth the money (well somewhat).

You going to hear everyone say the same thing, its auto and not worth it. And you know why? Because they are right, its not worth it. No matter what you do the auto tranny will always be your biggest bottle neck. Save the money and put into suspension, tires, brakes, styling, stereo, or maybe even a 5 speed conversion.

unless you have an aftermarket cam as well, i don't think it's worth the time or money either. good luck with your project though
