CAI and d16Y8 question

Debating if I should get one of these at all, since I do have to change my airfilter soon I was going to switch it to a CAI system. So my question or questions really are if I should get one for my D16y8 Si coupe and which I should get?

Try doing a little searching. On an otherwise unmodified motor, just a CAI will do little except make it sound louder. They are all basically the same regardless of brand. A pipe with a filter on the end really. The name brand ones like AEM usually fit better though. I had several different ones in my Si, but I ended up swithching back to the stock airbox with a K&N filter and I removed the resonator and all the extra piping.

thats the best way to do it. I find them a little peppier when all the restrictions are gone, launches are better.

Due to the strict California smog laws I had to get an AEM, which is one of the maybe 3-4 legal kinds here. It is more expensive but it fits like a glove and sounds great.

I got a aem cai but my motor is a obd2 and the stock intake on the motor has a plug but the aem cai doesnt have one for it. Should i just drill a hole for it cause it does seem to screw off.
