A/C PROBLEMS, Holds Freon and cycles..just not cold...

Hey there, i'm going to have to use my car for work, and i'd really prefere to not have to show up to client's all sweaty!

So i have A/C, it holds freeon, in fact it's slighly over pressurized with the right freon. It cycles but the air that blows out the vents is not from the a/c, it's almost as if it's not 'switching' to the a/c...any idea's?

is the heater control to the "cold" side? It could be stuck open and still allowing coolant to flow through the heater core.

i don't think so, cause if it's cool outside, i get close to ambient temperture. Is there some sort of 'vent door' that has to change or close or open to allow the a/c through?

yes theres a door that could be stuck, the door is meant to divert the air from running through the heater core.

sounds like your blower box might be broken. Has a flap which moves when you slide the heater ****.Its behind the dash on the passenger side.
