burning rubber smell 01 civic si
 

is there anyone out there that can tell me what that burning rubber smell is.....it happened twice, when I was warming up the car for a lil while, the smell started to smell like burning rubber. can someone tell me what the problem is......

One of the drive belts maybe.

if it's the drive belt, how much would it cost me to replace it?

need a bit more info, is there a squeel when its running? could be a loose belt,
check around the exhaust manifold, maybe theres a hose touching it, if it happens again, pop the hood, and sniff around, see if u can find a general area where its comin from, that'll narrow it down some :)

there isn't any squeeling.....

the thing is, I have only smelt the smell two times...and both times where I have let the car warm up for a long period of time.....
