Burning oil...?

i have a 96 b18b engine in my ek and it seems like its burning some oil. i don't rip it much but on occasions i will and since there is no vtec it seems odd that it burns oil like my last vtect engine. what exactly causes and engine to burn oil and is there a way to fix/ prevent it or slow it down...like any additives, better oils, or engine rebuild?
i don't have a ton of cash right now since i just randomly bought my nitrous kit...lmao...so i need some good ideas to fix this damn problem..=(

you are having a boat load of problems with that motor (as i can see from other posts). Just swap it out for something else. b18b's are dirt cheap.

^^ it has given me a few problems but it now seems to run much better after i put that lucas oil stabilizer stuff in it. the level has stayed the same after driving it for the past while constantly all day...lol...and the engine even sounds better...i am gonna wait and see how it goes for the next month before i throw any more money into the engine,,, i am also getting the compression test done tomorrow so that will be a good sign on whether or not to swap it...=D
