Break Question
OK i got a 1990 acura integra with abs, my car has a master cylider and a abs cylider. What my problem is the break seems to drop to the floor every once in a while, and also all the fluid from the master cylinder goes into a abs cylider over a period of a time. I was told to check for any leaks of break lines or anything like that and i did all the lines are mint and go inside the car so i didnt notice any leaks. Could it be the master cylinder? Any help would be great.. Thank you

Does the brake pedal drop to the floor when you're stopped? Like at a light or stop sign?
If so, it's your master cylinder. |
yes it does but only once in a blue moon..
|
a dropping brake pedal can be cuased by either an internal leak within the master cylinder, or a leaking wheel cylinder
|
hondas have problems with their primary seal leaking in their MC.
Looks like you'll need to purchase a new one. (id def. get it checked out though first) |
yeah, warm weather or heat from driving makes the master cyl act up. change it before summertime hits. mine was the same way, it was intermittent.
|
well i changed the master cylinder and the breaks seem to be in order now, thanks to everyone that helped..
