break problem

break problem

today some idiot cut me off forcing me to get on the breaks hard while slowing down the pedal sunk to the floor and now its mushy and doesnt do much till its right to the floor and now the hand break icon is on all the time, prior to this my rear passenger drum was squeling.. did the drum seize?

low brake fluid...u prolly have a leak at a fitting or u blew out the wheel cylinders in the drums

you might have had a small leak and when you floored the brake petal it shot out a bit more so you have less... better get it checked out

would grabbing another pair of drums fix it if it was the wheel cylinder?

drums is one part, wheel cylinder is another... what do you mean by "grabbing another pair of drums"? From the store or like a complete swap from someone who upgraded?

well i looked and the fluid is reallly low, i found some brake stuff in my garage but it says its for fords..does it make a difference?

u really shouldnt mix old and new fluid...but in a bind as long as its the same dot rating then its all good.

when I upgrade my brakes I'm gonna use GM Heavy Duty Dot 3 fluid...cheap high performance brake fluid awww yeah!
