Which brand of blow off valve?
Wondering which BOV I should get. I want a loud deep sound, not the high pitched or sequential type. It's gotta sound like airbreaks, or better.
Someone mentioned to me I should go with HKS for that, but wanted more opinions. |
turbo xs type-h rfl (real ****ing loud)

go here http://www.935motorsports.com/bovmedias.htm and listen to different bov sounds.

Yeah I heard the Turbo XS RFL and it's the loudest and closest o what I want so far.
Turbosmart is basically the same thing. I think they rip one off of from the other. Only thing I liked about Turbosmart more was they have the Sleeper series, in which the stuff is all black and a little more low key visually. But, I haven't heard any soundbytes from them yet. The Lexus I was talking about is a silver one that has 644 whp and driving on a freeway at night. Haven't been able to find the video. It was posted on tcc a loooooooooooooong time ago. |
I had a greddy type S. I had that bitch vented, and it sounded soooo goood.
|
I like Turbo smart . sounds good!
|
HKS SSQ & Greddy Type S are the best sounding hands down. the turbosmart sh1t sounds stupid. it just loud. it doesn't sound good at all.
|
HKS and Greddy are too high pitched. I want mine loud and deep, and heard by all
|
buddy runs a turbo smart in a wrx adn it sounds good...save money and get a 1g talon's..:shrugs:
I have heard that those BOV's xs and smart are garbage and leak...but no first hand experience |
Why are you buying a BOV based on sound and not reliability/efficiency? Just thought I'd ask...
|
my hks has a loud deep sound to it, go with a hks.

Right now I'm not gonna be running high hp. My main thing is I want that specific BOV sound.
If the $ is there for me, I'd love to build a high power motor over the winter. My main concern for this summer is getting the car on the road, painted, carbon lip, carbon hood, my H&R's and Konis, and maybe the 3" exhaust. I've already got over 230 hp to start, so I'm good for this summer. And the car won't be winter driven of course. The goal for next summer is 600-700 WHP, no nitrous. |
