brakes upgrade?

is there any quick brake upgades like slotted cross-drilled rotors or something for my 96 hatch? Can i upgrade just the front? I just realized that my brakes suck!

is there any upgrades for the back?

Most cross drilled rotors are for looks. OEM quality blank rotors with an agressive pad are all you need for a street driven car.If you want to get more serious, change to SS lines and Hi-Temp brake fluid.

If you want to upgrade the rear brakes you can get performance shoes for your drums or you can swap the rear brakes(including trailing arms) for SiR/GSR units.

What Shawn said however, the trailing arms of SiR, and GSR are all the same as 92-00 Civics, so in a sense, you can just swap the brake portion. People swap the trailing arm because they are lazy to take that assembly apart.

But, one good thing about swapping the trailing arm, or taking it off is for you to change the bushing, if you need to.

Changing Bushings can be a serious PITA, though.

Just the trailing arm bushing, really. If he is taking the whole assembly.

I'm talking Energy Supension Master kit and the Trailing arm bushing kit.

Trailing arm set (large ones) is about an hour. The most time consuming part is cleaning all of the stock rubber from the inside race of the bushing and shaft.

What's a good price for a pair of cross-drilled rotors for a EK?

the trailing arms shouldn't take long but if the bolts are seized than you're screwed. mine were seized but i had a shop to do mine. but having a torch really makes taking those bushings out easy. i'm thinking about upgrading my front brakes as well. i was thinking of getting some brembo oe blanks with some hawk pads. im getting new rotors because mine are slightly warped. would i get more stopping power out of blanks or slotted? btw i don't mean to steal your thread but i've been itching to ask this.
