brakes/caliper question...Need help!!!

Thanks for looking at my post. My question is, I've got discs all around on my car...and I think one of them is ceased up? When I jack up the car and turn the wheel, it doesn't turn very well. While the wheel is turning, when I pull the e-brake it does stop it though? But when it's turning, and I step on the brake peddle it doesn't seem to clamp down then...hmmm. Do you guys think my caliper is ceased up? The rotor looks like it's been grinding alot...I need to get it resurfaced not. Do you think some dirt/rocks got in between the pad and the rotor? Please if you have a suggestion or solution please let me know.
thanks,
ben

Hey Ben, what I would do is just take the caliper off the rotor and take a look. It is only two bolts to take it off and might help solve your problem or tell you what is really going on

Have you ever seen smoke or smelled a burning smell coming from the wheel in question?

My old Civic had a seized rear caliper once, and one day smoke started to from that wheel because the caliper had seized.

caliper question

No I haven't smelled any smoke or anything. The only thing I can really observe is that the rotor is got grooves now, it's not a flat smooth surface any more.
thanks,
ben

If the step on the brake pedal, and the wheel still wants to turn, then there's definately something wrong.

If you know what your doing, take off the calipar assembly to inspect the piston and pads. Check the seals and pins for any signs of damage or rust.

So does that mean my caliper is messed up? But wheel I spin the wheel and pull the e-brake it stops it fine? Hmmmm. Man I can't figure this out.
I really appreciate everyone's comments.
thanks,
ben

Take them to be turned......

Or better yet replaced....

Sounds like rotor warpage...

Don't **** with your brakes...
